AJA KUMO CP2
The AJA KUMO CP2 is a 2RU control panel that can be used in standalone or networked configurations suitable for all KUMO routers including the KUMO 6464. Connecting via Ethernet to the same network as KUMO routers, KUMO CP2 enables full control from any location without the need for a computer. Up to four KUMO routers can be controlled from a single control panel. Supports ganged dual and quad port routing, allowing users to group together multiple inputs and outputs for Dual Link, 4K and Ultra HD workflows. In addition to HD and SD, every KUMO can route 2 or 4 grouped 3G-SDI connections, supporting uncompressed or RAW 4K and UltraHD signals.
Buttoned Up
The destination-oriented KUMO CP2 Control Panel offers plug-and-play control of AJA’s complete line of compact KUMO SDI routers.
KUMO CP2 features 80 buttons and enables selection of up to 64 sources and 64 destinations on each of up to four KUMO routers in standalone mode or through a built-in GUI accessible from any web browser on the network.
Salvos for simple source to destination mapping
New salvos support simplifies switching operations by recalling multiple sources to specific destinations. Salvos are stored in a KUMO router and can be recalled via the KUMO router’s Web UI, GVG Native Protocol over Ethernet, RS-232, and/or the AJA KUMO CP2 Salvos buttons.
Eight Salvos can be configured and stored in each KUMO router. Salvos allow the operator to quickly recall predefined sources to specific destinations configurations with a simple button press.
Custom Button Labels
Customize KUMO CP2 buttons exactly to your needs. Use text labels and colored inserts to identify various sources, destinations and routers for quick and easy operation. To get you started, you can download a lens chip template which can be color-printed and cut to create an insert for each button on the KUMO CP2.
Light-gauge paper or film will be illuminated by the button for easy identification even in the darkest machine room or edit suite.
Simple Installation and Configuration
For standalone configurations with KUMO CP2, all KUMO routers can be connected together directly using standard RJ45 cables or a network switch, if required. KUMO software will automatically detect and assign routers to control panel delegations so your routing system is ready for use immediately.
In a network environment, the built-in web UI provides all the setup controls to create exactly the configuration you require.
